Outlets across the country have formed All-Name Teams of high school prospects, collegiate athletes and professionals. In MLB, you’ve likely heard of Jazz Chisholm on the Miami Marlins and Bo Bichette of the Toronto Blue Jays. At this April’s NFL Draft, Alabama’s Kool-Aid McKinstry was selected by the New Orleans Saints.

After many players joined the Cal Ripken Sr. League this summer, we decided to create our own list. Our 19-player roster features names relating to royalty, sports cars and positions on the baseball diamond.

Here’s our 2024 Cal Ripken Sr. League All-Name Team:

Lineup:

Catcher: Max Kalk | Aces, Ball State

As a freshman at Ball State, Kalk hit .333 and recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage, making sure no balls could get by him.

1B: Jonathan McMath | Thunderbolts, Marymount

McMath tallied at least one hit and one run in each of his first three games this summer.

2B: Kydese Queen | Senators, Norfolk State

The Waldorf, Maryland-native has totaled two three-hit games this season, becoming worthy of a crown.

SS: Nolan Book | Braves, Mount St. Mary’s

Book is reading the ball well out of pitchers’ hands this summer. He is hitting .319 with a .751 OPS this summer ahead of his freshman season at Mount St. Mary’s.

3B: Bryce Curry | Thunderbolts, Hofstra

Curry got hot in the batter’s box earlier this season. In five straight games between June 30 and July 8, Curry collected at least one hit.

OF: Katcher Halligan | Braves, Houston Christian

Aside from Katch-ing baseballs at first base and in the outfield, Halligan has six multi-hit games and four home runs this season.

OF: Jamie Quinn-Irons | Aces, George Mason

On July 7 against the Big Train, Quinn-Irons went 4-for-4 with three doubles and drew a walk. He earned a spot on the South All-Star Team this summer.

OF: Bryce Herb | Cropdusters, Shippensburg

Herb has grown into a reliable option for the Cropdusters this summer. In 19 games, he’s hitting .333 and received an All-Star nod.

DH: Andrew Powers | Thunderbolts, VCU

The Bethesda, Maryland-native used his strength to crush his first home run of the season on July 7 against the Senators.

Starting Pitchers:

Marty Coyne | Cropdusters, Penn

Braves’ batters didn’t have a 50-50 chance of getting a hit against the Cropdusters starter on July 7. That night, Coyne tallied a season-high eight punchouts.

Champ Davis | Grays, Wofford

Davis bested the other pitchers in the CRSCBL in the fourth week of the season by throwing 12 innings and allowing just two earned runs to earn CRSCBL Pitcher of the Week honors.

Bullpen:

Quinn Yellin | Aces, Maryland

Across three appearances from June 23 to July 2, Yellin threw five straight innings without surrendering an earned run, which got the Alexandria fans cheering.

Jack Robinson | Big Train, Roanoke College

Robinson is 3-0 this season and has tallied 25 strikeouts across 23 innings.

Ben Berger | Cropdusters, Frostburg State

Needing fast help, Berger delivered for the Cropdusters by picking up saves in back-to-back appearances on June 12 and June 15.

Jonah Snowberger | Cropdusters, Millersville

Snowberger froze the Grays on July 1 with three innings and one earned run allowed to earn his first win of the season.

Thomas McClaren | Grays, Washington & Jefferson College

McClaren used his flashy pitches to throw a scoreless frame with two strikeouts and allowed no hits on July 2.

Nathan Farmer | Giants, Glenville State

The Frederick, MD-native harvested back-to-back scoreless frames on June 6 and June 8.

Brock Rose | Giants, Polk State College

The right-hander got his flowers by tossing two no-hitters in high school at Georgetown Preparatory School (MD).

Jake Drumm | Thunderbolts, George Mason

The George Mason-product opened the season with four scoreless innings, earning him the win and a drum roll on June 9 against the Grays.
